Meet our Team!
Jonelle Yearout, NCDF Executive Director
Hired in 2017 as the Executive Director of Nimiipuu Community Development Fund. It is my joy to further develop the newly established Native community development financial institution (CDFI) on the Nez Perce Reservation. As a driver for economic development and personal financial health NCDF provides financial and business development services and loan products to our tribal communities and other target areas. The loan fund provides access to lending products that enhance the financial well being of individuals and growth of the private sector who traditionally have been left out the mainstream. Part of this work includes policy advocacy with our other Native CDFI's and Native CDFI Network by bringing attention for economic development.
Our most recent accomplishment was gaining CDFI Certification by the U.S. Treasury Department in July 2017. NCDF work to enhance our service delivery has also led to being accepted into number of Native CDFI cohort initiatives such as Opportunity Through Impact Tracking (OTIS Database), Native Financial Learning Network group, and Oweesta's RCDI Financial Coaching group.
My educational background includes Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and American Indian Studies from University of Idaho and Graduate Tribal Planning Certificate from Eastern Washington University. Growing up on the Nez Perce homelands and raising my family, it is my goal to build a future that is worthy of our ancestors and suitable for our children.
George Moody, NCDF Loan Officer
As the newly hired NCDF Loan Officer, George Moody is enrolled member of the Nez Perce Tribe. George earned his degree in Tribal Governance and Business Management, B.S. from Northwest Indian College. George is also graduate of Lapwai High School and is married with four children.
